Social media summarised

On the 5 May 2003 Linked In was created with the idea of social networking on a professional business level an environment where everyone is communicating in occupation specific conversations.
The network is translated in other 20 languages and has a global active membership of 225 million.  Transmitted in 200 countries and worth $45 per share in 2011 LinkedIn had 63% growth in the past financial year and I believe that is bigger than MySpace.

Being the world’s largest professional social networking site that is dedicated to achieving the genuine need to be globally connected to like-minded professionals and have the opportunity to provide:

·          Advertising

·          A library of knowledge

·          Graduating students and

·          People looking to climb the corporate ladder

Maintaining on line security is paramount in today’s world so LinkedIn has developed some sound measures to help protect its users like

  •   Only members can view profiles and

·         The use of Avatars are not allowed

Being a member of LinkedIn is also governed by regulations that state every member must respect the Professional Code of Conducts guidelines on issues such as

·         Reputations

·         Ethical debates

·         Racial comments

·         Spam

Enjoy browsing our library of PROBUS members and their profiles you never know you could meet your next million.

  1. Hi Tracy - I'd be interested to hear your opinion of LinkdIn? What is it really all about? and is it worth trying, do you think?

Also, it looks like some of your data didn't land on the page properly! Can you fix?
